Greetings! My name is Eden Duke, and I'm thrilled to say this is my 19th year teaching high school English.  I grew up in Barrington, Illinois and graduated with a Bachelors in English from Northeastern Illinois University in 2001 and have a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The American College of Education.  I began my teaching career at Morton Alternative School in 2002.

Currently, I live in Fox River Grove Il, with my husband, Matt, my three boys (Duke, Killian and Hawke), and two dogs (Hero and Polly). When I am not teaching, I work part-time at a pastry shop in Barrington. I enjoy, cooking, reading, fishing, and spending time with my family.

Hi, my name is Tiffany Hujara, and I am one of the English teachers here at Morton Alternative School. Born and raised in Chicago, I have been teaching in urban high schools throughout the Chicagoland area for 15 years in many content areas, including: English, Writing, Human Geography, Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy, Earth Science, and Engineering. At my previous high school, I won an innovation grant for creating a Culinary Arts program called Cooking through Science. I hope to bring my passion and joy for teaching students the vocational life skills of cooking to our alternative school in the near future. In my years of teaching, I have mostly worked as a dually identified teacher to diverse learners and English language learning students. I received my Bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education at Northeastern Illinois University, and I obtained my M.Ed. in Special Education and my ELL endorsement at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  Most recently, I have obtained a culinary arts and science certification from Harvard University.    I live in the city with my partner, Matt (who is also a diverse learning high school teacher), and our 3 children (Adorabella - 11, Meredith - 17 and William - 19). I enjoy cooking, baking, going on hiking trips, watching horror movies, going to concerts, trying out new coffee shops and restaurants, shopping, and hanging out with my family and friends.  I am extremely happy to be back teaching at Morton because Morton students are truly the best! They will always have the biggest piece of my heart as a teacher.
