I am the proud Principal of Morton Alternative School. I have varied experience as a teacher and school leader in the Morton High School District; English teacher, Dean of Students, Summer School Principal, Student Activities Coordinator, and I served as an Assistant Principal at both Morton East and West. My passion is developing positive authentic relationships, working with students as they grow, and supporting teachers and staff so that they can reach their greatest potential.
I believe in fostering a positive school culture through the implementation of Restorative Justice practices and I have been committed to promoting teamwork, collaboration, and a sense of community at the Alternative School.
My doctoral work in Educational Leadership at National Louis University involved filming a documentary on the Latinx Experience in High School and gave me great insight into my students’ experiences. It is an honor to serve the Cicero community.

My goal is to be an advocate for the students and the parents in the community and partner with them to create impactful, life-long memories. This will be my third year at Morton and year 30 in education! My previous position was the Dean of Students at the Morton East campus.
